Haunted Forest is a community fundraiser. It gets money towards youth groups. The money that they raise goes to the church. Everybody loves to go to the Haunted Trails. It’s really fun. People dress up and scare people while you walk through the trails.

           The Haunted Forest  also has food like chili and other foods. Also they have drinks for people and you can buy sweatshirts that say The Haunted Forest. When you are waiting in the line you have bubbles,people scaring you and you have someone DJ and playing Halloween music. Also the people scaring you, you can take pictures with them. The Haunted Trails have been open since 2004. That is 21 years. The money that they get from doing this goes to different youth activities in the area. The Haunted Trail does not pay their scare actors; they are all volunteers. There are 150 people helping per year and maybe more.This is also different from other places like this because they give the money to youth groups and I think that makes it really special.They all work hard in what they do and even though they are all volunteers I am sure they have a really good time scaring people. Also all the cast bring their own props and do their own makeup and customs. 

            Now I interviewed Kevin Phil, the person that runs the haunted trail and the person that’s in charge. I asked how much money they made out of this and he said “$45,000-50,000.” Kevin says that “The trail is about half a mile and 35 minutes to walk through.” I asked him about how much everything costs and he said “About $12,000.” That is a lot to spend for only 2 days. But it pays off at the end when they see how much money they raise. 

           Overall The Haunted Trails bring lots of people together to celebrate Halloween and to have a good time. We are so lucky to have the Haunted Trails this close to us and to experience how hard they work and all the cool scenes.
