We all have our own opinions on if we should decorate for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving. A poll was sent out to the Secondary Students and Staff, and asked whether or not you decorated for Christmas before or after Thanksgiving. The majority of the poll said that they decorate after Thanksgiving. The percentage of people that said before Thanksgiving was 40%, which is 18/45. The rest said after Thanksgiving, that percentage was 60%, which was 27/45. 

Folks that said they would decorate before Thanksgiving claimed they love decorating before because they can enjoy the decorations extra and they can also get into the mood of Christmas. Others said that they decorate for Thanksgiving early, so they decorate for Christmas early. Some people think that Thanksgiving is somewhat part of Christmas, they like to decorate for Christmas on Thanksgiving. It also makes the house nice and cozy for Thanksgiving. The people that don’t like decorating before Christmas said, Thanksgiving should be its own holiday. Others claimed that they just find that it is disrespectful. 

In conclusion, most people say that they decorate their homes after thanksgiving. So that thanksgiving can have its own holiday.  We all have different opinions on this topic. Thank you to all Secondary Students and Staff that respond to the poll!
