Season 33 of Dancing With the Stars (DWTS) just ended, and it ended on a high note. This season’s contestants brought back the magic of the show that it was lacking and made the audience want to come back to watch next year.
Every season of DWTS has 12 couples which includes one professional to one celebrity per pair. There are also a handful of extra professionals who do extra dance numbers and act as extras in some dances. DTWS also does a tour when they aren’t in season and that’s when some professionals tour around different cities doing dance numbers. They also include some special celebrities from the most recent season to appear—the 2025 tour starts in January of 2025 in Virginia.
The season 33 couples brought back the magic that the show needed desperately. The pairings were: professional Ezra Sosa and scandalous socialite Anna Delvey, professional Pasha Pashkov and actress Tori Spelling, professional Britt Stewart and actor Eric Roberts, professional Emma Slater and actor Reginald VelJohnson, professional Gleb Savchenko and model Brooks Nader, professional Val Chmerkovskiy and reality TV star Phaedra Parks, professional Sasha Farber and Bachelorette star Jenn Tran, professional Daniella Karagach and NBA player Dwight Howard, professional Witney Carson and NFL player Danny Amendola, professional Rylee Arnold and Olympic gymnast Stephen Nedoroscik, professional Brandon Armstrong and actress/singer Chandler Kinney, professional Alan Bersten and Olympic rugby player Ilona Maher, and professional Jenna Johnson and bachelor star Joey Graziadei.
The judges on the show are Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli. The hosts are Julianne Hough and Alfonso Ribeiro who were dancers for the show in the past.
Each week, one couple gets eliminated from the show until the winner is decided. This year at the semi-finals all five contestants made it to the finale and no one got eliminated since this season is so popular. This season broke the fan voting record with 12 million votes in the semi-finals and 32 million votes in the final.
This season, Witney Carson and Danny Amendola got fifth, Rylee Arnold and Stephen Nedoroscik placed fourth, Brandon Armstrong and Chandler Kinney got third, Alan Bersten and Ilona Maher placed second, and Jenna Johnson and Joey Graziadei won the Len Goodman Mirrorball. He was the first Bachelor in the history of the show to win.
DWTS magic has officially returned due to an amazing cast of dancers and celebrities. This season has made the fans want to come back next year and remember this season. Only one year until the mirrorball is up again for a new winner!
