Some think Taylor has had a new rise and some think she has always been as popular as she is right now. No matter what you think, Taylor is at one of the highest points in her career, financially and fame-wise. Her Eras Tour, which she describes as her “Journey through her musical eras” is one of the highest and most attended tours in America today.
Recently, Taylor has made world records for the biggest boost in economy for a show. Whatever city Taylor is in, there is a large amount of money that is spent in these couple days. Yahoo News says that if Taylor were to cancel a show it would affect the whole town for days because of the amount of refunds.
Out of Taylor’s 146 shows in her Eras Tour, more than 75% of her shows were sold out in hours. People who did not get the chance to get tickets sat outside of the arena to get a glimpse of Taylor’s presence. The normal number of people at a show is estimated to be around 50-70 thousand. All shows combined she has reached over 10 million people throughout the world.
In Seattle Washington, Taylor’s show caused a 2.3 magnitude earthquake in the arena. With that arena having trouble before with past concerts, this is the biggest reported earthquake yet.
Because of Taylor’s success in her tour, she has given out bonuses to all of her crew members. Including; drivers, dancers, backstage members, and more. Taylor paid an additional $50,000 to the amount she had added to their paycheck. To show their thanks, all the drivers and members lined up and honked as she went to work one day.
