November is a great time to show your faith, especially because of Thanksgiving. During this holiday we give thanks for the harvests and food that is provided for us. There are so many things to be grateful for. The most common things to be grateful for are family, friends, and multiple other things. Thanksgiving is a great time to remember and reflect upon all things you are grateful for.
The five things that I am grateful for are my mom, my dad, my coaches, my sister, and my friends. I am grateful for my mom, because she is always there for me when I need her. She is my shoulder to cry on, and my listening ear. My dad has always been there to push me in the sports that I do. He has also been my helping hand in every activity I’m involved in. I’m grateful for my coaches because they have always helped me improve in the sports I do, and they have helped me to become better both mentally and physically. My sister has always been someone I can go to for advice. She’s always there to cheer me on and be my supporter. I am grateful for my friends because they always help me with school. If I don’t understand something or if I don’t want to do something, they always encourage me to try my best and get it done.
One teacher I interviewed said that she is grateful for Jesus, family, her job, her friends, and traveling. She loves Jesus because her faith means everything to her. Whether it be praying before every meal, or just saying her daily prayers, she always finds a way to worship Jesus. The second thing that she said she was grateful for was her family. She’s grateful for her family because they bring her the most joy. Another thing that she is grateful for is her job. She likes that her job gives her a purpose. The next thing that she is grateful for are her friends because they support her in everything. The last thing she’s thankful for is traveling because it gives her the ability to reset.
One of the Sophomore girls that I interviewed said that she is grateful for her mom, her sister, sports, her job, and her friends. She’s grateful for her mom, because she is one of her best friends, and she has always been her biggest supporter in everything that she does. Another thing that she is grateful for is her sister. Her sister always makes her laugh and is her favorite person to talk to. The next thing she is grateful for is sports. She’s grateful for sports because they give her something to do and put energy into. She is also grateful for her job because it gives her the money to help her buy things that she needs. Last thing that she is grateful for is her friends. They always support her in everything, and they are fun to be around.
The last interviewee was a freshman boy. The things that he said he is grateful for are his family, his friends, sports, hunting, and fishing. He is grateful for his family because they make him feel comfortable, and they make him feel like he can go to them whenever. Another thing that he said he is grateful for are his friends. He is grateful for them because they support him in everything that he does. He is also grateful for sports, because they keep him busy and give him no time off. Hunting is another thing that he is grateful for because it gives him time alone in the peace and quiet. Last thing that he is thankful for is fishing. He likes that fishing gives him a chance to spend time with his dad and create a stronger bond.
Showing faith and thankfulness is something that people often forget about, even though it is really important. Around Thanksgiving is a great time to stop and reflect, and show gratitude for all of the things that you are grateful for.
