How to Spend Your Snow Days

How to Spend Your Snow Days

What are some things you would like to do if there is a snow day at Southeast of Saline? Would you prefer to stay inside all day long, or go out to play in the blinding snow? Whatever you would like to do is your choice, and all that is recommended is that you spend your day off of school the best way you can. Whether that be sleeping all day just to make sure you stay right on your sleeping schedule, or you could even spend your day working on homework that may have been given to you from your least favorite subject. No matter what you may do during your break, you should always spend it the way YOU want to, within reason of course.

You could stay inside and play board games all day long with the people that may be there with you. You could find a new inspiration inside of yourself, wander around the house, and look for materials to craft up something of your own creation. Yeah, it may be cold outside, which may prevent you from doing some things you love to do, like going out and throwing a football back and forth to each other. Just understand that there are many other things to do if you don’t want to go out and play in the cold snow! You could listen to music, draw, craft, or even just sleep in! Everyone has those days when they just want to sleep for a while, so you’re not alone.

Watching TV is an amazing thing to do to keep your mind working, yet resting at the same time. It is less work to do when you are at home during a nice snow day, compared to when you have to be at school and receive constant assignments. There are many ways to spend your time during a snow day, if one ever shows up out of the blue, you could even keep a list of things to do if you’re bad at coming up with things off the top of your head. Staying active is almost the best thing you could do during a day off. You can hope for that snow day, but just remember to think about what you will do during that day and do what your mind needs you to do.

These past years, the number of snow days used per year has only decreased! There are way fewer chances to have a snow day off of work and school all to yourself. All that you can do at this point is wish for the best of luck for a day like that, the longer that time goes on, the less chance of a snow day you might have. That’s why when you DO have a chance like this, you should do what is best for you. Doing things that you like to do. For example, if you like drawing or art, find a nice place in the house, and try to draw exactly what you see. When you have a day all to yourself, don’t just spend it all on your phone or playing video games the whole day, do something that gets your eyes off a screen. New things to do are everywhere, all you have to do is find them.
