Southeast Boys Basketball Game Preview: Beloit Trojans

The 2-0 Southeast of Saline Trojans will face the 0-2 Beloit Trojans Friday night in the third contest of the year for the Trojans . This installment of the “Trojan War” won’t see many changes from last year.

 

Beloit is coming off two close losses to Concordia and Clay Center. Beloit returns with a similar look from last year only losing two players in Caleb Burks and Owen Eilert. Although starting the season 0-1, Beloit has shown some promise throughout their games averaging 53.5 points through 2 showings.

 

The Beloit Trojans surly will come into this match-up surly believing they compete against the prosperous Southeast team.

 

Southeast returns to Beloit looking to replicate last year’s series. The now No.1 ranked southeast of Saline Trojans have proved themselves as the team to beat in 3A. 

 

The Trojans defeated the Smoky Valley Viking Tuesday night with a final score of 70-38. Eli Sawyers led the Trojans with 14 Points , 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Nakari Morrical-Palmer also played a big role scoring 12 points with 9 rebounds and 7 assist to help lead the Trojans to a dominant win.

 

Through 2 games Nakari Morrical-Palmer leads the Trojans in points per-game (12.5) , blocks per-game (2.0) ,  assists per-game ( 6.0) and rebounds per-game (12.0). Southeast will continue to use their statistical demons against Beloit. 

 

Last year’s two installments of the “Trojan War” resulted in two southeast victories (78-58 , 58-48).
