Melody Fellers is the October Student of the Month. Melody is a caring, smart, and ambitious girl who will always work hard when setting her mind to it. She generally likes any country singer, but she has a particular fondness for Zach Bryan. Melody is a Freshman here at SES and has been going to SES since Kindergarten. Melody is involved in volleyball, track, BAM, Jazz Band, and plans to be a basketball manager here at SES. Her out-of-school activities include embroidering and crocheting; she particularly loves to crochet animals. Melody has one brother, Steven. Melody loves spending time with her family by watching the sunrise and sunsets with her dad, crocheting with her mom, and messing around with her brother. After high school, Melody plans to become a Family and Medicine doctor and get her degree at KU Med. Melody says, “I plan on going into their pre-med program and having nursing as my minor degree.” Want to give a huge congrats to Melody Fellers for earning October Student of the Month!
Brooklyn Hartman is the October Athlete of the Month. Brooklyn is a caring, light-hearted, and intelligent person who is an amazing friend to everyone. Her favorite travel destination is Greece. Brooklyn went on a trip to Greece with her mom this summer. Brooklyn said, “My favorite part of that trip was how beautiful the scenery was, and the food was really good.” Brooklyn is a Sophomore here at SES, and she has been at SES since Kindergarten. Brooklyn is involved in many activities as well as leading some. Her in-school activities include cross country, SAFE, NHS, FCCLA, track, and STUCO, as well as leading FCA. While not doing school activities, she loves to read, run, go to bible study, crochet, and embroider. Brooklyn has two siblings, her brothers, Brice and Brody, who are 8th graders here at SES. Brooklyn is the oldest sibling in her house. Her mom is Holly Hartman, and her dad is Justin Hartman. Brooklyn and her family love to spend time together by traveling to many different places. After high school, Brooklyn plans to go to Kansas State University to major in health science to eventually get a degree in Pediatric Nursing.
