Isabella Owen is the February Athlete of the Month. Isabella is a dramatic, determined, and friendly person. Isabella shows amazing characteristics towards everyone at SES through the sports and activities at school. A fun fact about Isabella is that her favorite number is either 21 or 73. Isabella is a Senior here at SES, and she came to SES in her Sophomore year. Isabella is involved in lots of school activities. Activities that she is involved in are FCCLA, FBLA, Art club, TRUST, SAFE, STUCO, wrestling, forensics, and scholars bowl. Outside her school activities, Isabella enjoys walking her dogs, sleeping, playing her guitar, watching tv, playing Minecraft with her siblings, and hanging out with her friends. Isabella’s mom is Ava Owen. Isabella says, “My mom is the smartest woman I know. She always has the funniest faces and is really great at helping me understand my homework.” Her favorite activities to do with her mom are probably having girl days, where they go to a musical or a museum. Even the small moments where her mom helps her with her hair before my shows or tournaments are a great time with her mom. Isabella’s dad is Nicholas Owen. Isabella states, “He knows how to split his work hours and his home hours, while still making the entire dinner table laugh every night.” Her favorite activities to do with him are to learn about anything he teaches her, like learning to fill her tires with air or working on her wrestling moves with him. Isabella has two siblings: her middle sister, Juliana, and her younger sister, Gabby. Isabella says Juliana always keeps her on her toes, whether it’s crazy stories or odd music taste, she always has a smile when hanging out with Juliana. Her favorite activity to do with Juliana is blasting musical soundtracks in the car and screaming the lyrics together. Isabella says Gabby is the toughest kid while also always having a positive attitude towards tough situations, and continues to shock everyone around her with how tough and smart she is. Her favorite activities to do with Gabby are teaching her how to play Minecraft or going on bike rides to the local gas station for slushies. After highschool Isabella plans to go to Bethany College to become a secondary teacher. Mallory Esch is the February Student of the Month. Mallory is a faithful, caring, and supportive person. Mallory shows all of these characteristics in everything and everyone here at SES. A fun fact about Mallory is that her favorite perfume is Sol de Janeiro. Mallory is a Freshman here at SES and has been here at SES since kindergarten. At SES, Mallory is involved in track and volleyball. Her favorite out-of-school activities are running and playing club volleyball with her friends. Mallory’s parents are Lori and Brian, and her brother’s name is Dylan. Malloy’s favorite thing to do with her mom is to do anything and everything together. Malloy’s favorite things to do with her dad are run errands or chill around the house with him, because whenever they do, he always makes Malloy laugh. Her favorite things to do with her brother Dylan are going places, playing sports, and just being with him is enough to entertain her.
After high school, Mallory says that she wants to go to Wichita State University to become a Psychotherapist. Congratulations to Malloy Esch for earning February Student of the Month!
